SHARAMANIA TRIBE - THE BLUE SANCTUARY EXPERIENCE

10-14 JUNE

We gathered with the Sharmania Tribe team to learn more about their journey and the experiences they will be bringing to life at Bonjuk Bay.

What do people usually leave with after spending time with you?

We think people leave with something they had forgotten they needed.

Not something material. Something human.

They leave with real connections. New friendships that somehow feel old.

A softer heart. A lighter nervous system. Memories that stay alive for years.

Sharamania Tribe started as a simple adventure between friends who loved gathering their friends around the world to celebrate life together. But somehow, at every experience, the family keeps growing.

What makes this even more beautiful is the diversity inside that family.

Different cultures, ages, stories, backgrounds and personalities naturally mixing together without labels or barriers.

People arrive as guests.

They often leave feeling part of something.

And in a world where many people feel disconnected, rushed or emotionally guarded, that feeling can become deeply transformative.

What do people often forget about connection that your community reminds them of?

That connection is not performance. You do not need to impress people to belong. You do not need to build a character.

Our community reminds people that the strongest connections are usually built through presence, vulnerability, laughter, silence, music, eye contact, long hugs, deep conversations... simple human moments.

Without phones. Without social pressure. Without ego.

Just humans remembering humans.

What kind of atmosphere are you hoping people step into here?

A space where people can finally exhale.

A place where strangers naturally sit together.

Where music becomes a bridge instead of a performance.

Where nobody feels the need to pretend.

We want people to feel the tribe energy immediately when they arrive.

The feeling that everyone is somehow taking care of each other.

Not an escape from life. But more a reminder of what life can feel like when people truly connect.

Can you remember a moment during one gathering that stayed with you?

There are many. But the moments that stay with us the most are rarely the “big” moments.

Sometimes it is looking around during sunrise and realizing nobody wants to leave the dancefloor because everybody feels connected to the same invisible emotion.

Sometimes it is seeing people who met only two days earlier hugging each other goodbye with tears in their eyes.

Or seeing someone arrive guarded and closed… and slowly watching them open again through music, conversations, nature and community.

Those moments always remind us why we do this.

What excites you most about creating something together at Bonjuk Bay?

The alignment.

We only collaborate with like-minded people, and with Bonjuk there was immediately a very human connection between our visions.

Both teams deeply care about community, intention, beauty, emotional safety and meaningful gatherings. That is rare.

So what excites us the most is not only creating an event together.

It is creating a feeling together.

A temporary world where people can reconnect with hope, with others and maybe with forgotten parts of themselves.

What do you hope people hear, feel, or notice during this gathering?

We hope they hear sincerity : in the music, in the workshops, in the conversations, in the way people interact with each other.

We hope they feel free enough to let go, to dance fully, to speak deeply, to hug people longer than usual.

And we hope they notice that some of the most powerful moments in life still happen offline, heart to heart, human to human.

What do you hope people feel when they leave?

Hope.

The feeling that beautiful human experiences still exist.

That community still exists.

That softness, generosity and depth still exist.

We hope they leave emotionally recharged.

With new friendships.

With unforgettable memories.

With their hearts a little more open than before.

And maybe with the desire to bring that same energy back into the world around them.

weekly tunes

Sabo’s music is a journey into sound, a sonic landscape that crosses several musical borders with mixtures of tropical poly-rhythms, warm bass frequencies, rich percussion, lush tribal vocals, and smooth organic textures. When listening you will undoubtedly find yourself resonating with his intention, imagining yourself dancing in an Amazon rainforest, on a moonlit Tropical beach, or on a desert plane for a Saharan sunrise. Behind the decks, his innovative approach to each DJ set makes him a consistent stand out at festivals like Burning Man, Coachella, Lightening in a Bottle, Shambhala, Fusion, Symbiosis, and Further Future. He is also the label boss of “Sol*Selectas Records” which is successfully re-defining a new vein of dance music. The label captures a wide array of sounds, drawing influence from our native roots, and combining these traditional styles with the modern sounds of electronic music.

We will have the chance to listen to him at The Blue Sanctuary Experience - Sharamania Tribe.

lıfe beneath the bay

Beneath the crystal waters of Bonjuk Bay lies a thriving underwater world, home to a remarkable diversity of marine life and one of the most precious ecological habitats in Türkiye. This unique ecosystem makes Bonjuk Bay not only a place of beauty, but also a vital sanctuary for preserving the richness of the Mediterranean Sea.

In addition, Bonjuk Bay is under strict protection: entry by boats and all forms of fishing are prohibited, ensuring the safety and sustainability of its delicate marine environment.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some of the fascinating marine life found in our bay.

1- Blue Crab

Recognizable by its vivid blue claws, occasionally found along sandy and shallow coastal areas.

2- Silver-Cheeked Toadfish

A specie known for its unusual shape and powerful defense mechanism.

3- Cornetfish

A long and slender fish moving almost invisibly through open water

4- Lionfish

A striking yet invasive species recognized by its long venomous fins and dramatic movement.

5- Mediterranean Parrotfish

One of the Mediterranean’s most colorful fish, bringing flashes of turquoise and pink to rocky reefs.

6- Marbled Spinefoot

Another rabbitfish species adapted to warm Mediterranean waters.

7- Common Cuttlefish

Known for its hypnotic color-changing skin and fluid movement through the water.

8- European Squid

Fast-moving and intelligent, often seen in deeper night waters.

9- Red Scorpionfish

Perfectly camouflaged against the rocks, blending almost invisibly into the seabed.

10- Gilthead Seabream

One of the Mediterranean’s most recognizable fish species, often swimming through shallow coastal waters.

11- Common Pandora

Recognizable by its soft pink tones, often found above sandy and rocky seabeds.

12- Posidonia oceanica

The oxygen source of the bay. These ancient underwater meadows provide shelter and breeding grounds for countless marine species.

13- Mediterranean Monk Seal

Extremely rare and protected, sometimes appearing around isolated coves and rocky sea caves.

14- Loggerhead Sea Turtle

One of the bay’s most important visitors, occasionally seen feeding or slowly crossing the coastline.

15- Short-Snouted Seahorse

Delicately drifting between the underwater meadows, almost disappearing among the seagrass.

16- Common Octopus

An intelligent and elusive creature frequently found hiding inside rocky crevices and underwater caves.

17- Mediterranean Barracuda

Often appearing in crystal-clear waters, gliding almost motionlessly before striking with explosive speed.

18- Greater Amberjack

Travels through open waters in fast-moving schools, bringing sudden movement and energy into the blue depths.

19- Goldblotch Grouper

A large bottom-dwelling fish closely related to the grouper, often hidden within rocky formations and deep reef structures.

20- Dentex

A powerful predator of the deeper rocky waters, known for its speed, strength, and sharp silver reflections.

21- Dusky Grouper

One of the iconic fish of the bay, usually found around rocky bottoms and underwater caves, moving slowly and almost anciently through the reefs.

22- Sandbar Shark

Saved the best for the last, one of the most extraordinary inhabitants of Bonjuk Bay. Scientific studies have identified Bonjuk Bay as one of the Mediterranean’s most important nursery grounds for sandbar sharks, where females return to give birth in the calm, shallow waters of the bay. For many years, it was considered the only known breeding ground for the Mediterranean population of this species.

Unlike the dramatic image often associated with sharks, sandbar sharks are known for their calm behavior and are considered one of the least dangerous large shark species to humans. Their presence is often seen as a sign of a healthy and balanced marine ecosystem.
