Bonjuk Bay and community is founded by Mehmet Mahruki (Memo), who spent most of his life traveling and living around the world exploring different places, enjoying variety of cultures, and seeking new experiences. His first experience at Burning Man in 2008 inspired him to question if the open-hearted, non-judgmental and collaborative mindset in this temporary city in the middle of the desert can be experienced in our daily lives.

We chose Spiral as our logo because of the symbolic implications of the SPIRAL: Evolution and holistic growth Letting go, surrender, release Awareness of the one within the context of the whole Connectivity and union with deific and cosmic energies Revolutions of time, stars, planets and the way of natural progress In terms of spirituality, the spiral symbol can represent the path leading from outer consciousness (materialism, external awareness, ego, outward perception) to the inner soul (enlightenment, unseen essence, nirvana, cosmic awareness). Movements between the inner (intuitive, intangible) world and the outer (matter, manifested) world are mapped by the spiraling of archetypal rings; marking the evolution of humankind on both an individual and collective scale.

Bonjuk Bay’s natural beauty is undisputable, but the real beauty comes from within, its community of beautiful souls. You may come to Bonjuk Bay once to experience it for yourself. But if you find yourself keep coming back because you feel a sense of belonging, then you are part of our community. In this community you get the courage to be yourself, to get in touch with your inner child, to connect with nature, to listen to yourself, to find your calling, to express yourself freely without the fear of being judged. And this is where the transformation starts.

Bonjuk team members come from all walks of life and diverse backgrounds, but with shared ethos. As a team we want to live a life with purpose, enjoy working while living, not working to make a living. We take ownership in what we do, and whatever we do we do with love. Bonjuk Bay is our home and Bonjuk community is our family. 

Bonjuk Bay is a private bay and nature preserve on the Southern Aegean coast of Turkey, secluded between the turquoise sea and forested hills. We curated it with love paying attention to detail based on glamping principles, which offers comfort in nature. In Bonjuk Bay you can experience beach, forest and farm life together.

We have tents, rooms, kitchen, bar, restaurant, beach, forest and farm.
